Winged Things

Taking flight came to me occasionally as a child in dreams. I’d soar effortlessly, freely without care or concern over my urban neighborhood of houses, streets, playfields and yet to be developed forest land or marshes.

It’s no surprise today one of my favorite subjects are winged things. Birds and insects doing what comes naturally to them as they fly in search of food, safety, a proper perch, their mate or perhaps for pure joy.
