Hide & Seek

Whatever success I may happen to have capturing images of wildlife in their home often comes from patiently, quietly waiting in the uncomfortable conditions of a hide. Think being hunkered down next to a log and swatting mosquitos while waiting downwind for wildlife to come by rather than actively seeking them out as a loud, stinky human encroaching into their territory.

Thankfully there are also many times when enjoying a saunter through forests, fields, deserts and alongside wetlands or other favorite places chance encounters seem to suddenly happen often enough to not be surprised any longer but always delighted.
